WIRELESS MICROPHONE SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
Shure's UP wireless microphone systems are built upon the UP4 battery-powered receiver. UP portable wireless systems provide flawless clarity for broadcast and video. The Shure UP Wireless System is a portable, frequency-agile, diversity wireless system operating in the UHF band. The UP4 receiver is easily mounted to a Sony video camera or any video camera with an Anton-Bauer battery pack. The UP4 is compatible with both Shure UC and UHF Series microphones and body-packs. Both the receiver and the transmitter are microprocessor controlled by Phase Locked Loop (PLL) circuitry for a clear, steady signal.

WIRELESS MICROPHONE SYSTEM FEATURES
• Shure UP System operates within the UHF frequency band, which is less congested in metropolitan areas than the VHF band
• UC and UHF system transmitters’ and UP receiver’s frequencies can be changed to avoid RF interference
• UP4 receiver’s compact design allows easy mounting to Sony cameras and cameras outfitted with Anton-Bauer battery pack
• UP4 receiver is supplied with hardware for mounting to cameras
• Tone Key Squelch Circuitry prevents unwanted noise from entering the system
• Noise Squelch Circuitry analyzes signal quality rather than signal strength, virtually eliminating the possibility of annoying noise bursts
• LED indicators (on receiver) provide info on audio level, RF level and battery power
