GOOSENECK PODIUM MICROPHONE DESCRIPTION
The Audio-Technica #AT857QMA and AT857AMA are wide-range unidirectional (cardioid) miniature condenser microphones, mounted on a lubricated flexible gooseneck that won't squeak when you move it. The AT857QMA (Quick Mount) has its electronics mounted in the connector base which plugs directly into a XLR-F type connector. The "QM" model operates only on phantom power. The AT857AMA (Adaptor Mount) is designed to flange mount on a standard 5/8"-24 thread and has its electronics remotely located in the power module at the end of a 10' cable. The "AM" model operates with battery or phantom power.
