Signal Processors

Signal Processors

Alpha Sound & Lighting Co.'s selection of digital signal processors, compressors, crossovers, effects processors, equalizers feedback suppressors, and compressor/limiters is one reason why church musicians, worship leaders, and professionals come to us. We have digital signal processors from great pro-audio companies like DBX.

There is a reason that Tour Sound Professionals and discriminating Audio Contractors choose dbx® DriveRack® products for their high-end tours and installs. The DriveRack products provide the tools that ensure that the system sounds its very best. With DBX's new Drive Racks, the heritage of unrivaled system/loudspeaker control continues.

DBX's Drive Racks capitalize on road tested and contractor approved performance hurdles. The Drive Racks provide full bandpass and crossover configurations as well as independent output processing and a full time RTA for live sound applications. Contractors will appreciate its control inputs for wall-panel logic control and the patent-pending Advanced Feedback Suppression (AFS™).

Whether you’re looking for raw processing power with instant front-panel access for live performance, or seeking rich, smooth and complex processing algorithms in the studio, Lexicon® brings the best of both worlds together in the MX-200 Dual Reverb/Effects Processors and the MPX-550 Stereo Effects Processors.

dbx® Graphic Equalizer series have been designed to meet the needs of the most demanding sound reinforcement environments, while offering the simplicity of straightforward controls. DBX equalizers not only offer standard features like single-channel 31-band or dual-channel 15-band, 1/3 and 2/3 octave bands, ISO frequency centers, +/- 12 dB input gain range, and switchable 50Hz/12 dB per octave low-cut filter, but also includes other insightful features. These features include 20 mm faders; selectable +/-6dB or +/-12dB boost/cut range for precise gain adjustments; XLR, and 1/4'' TRS connectors for installation ease; balanced inputs and outputs for quiet operation. DBX's equalizer series are the professional's choice in signal processing.

FINALLY, superior feedback elimination processing at an unbelievable low price! With features like 24 programmable filters per channel, stereo or dual independent channel processing, live and fixed filter modes, selectable filter lift times, application-specific filter types (speech or music low, medium, and high), input channel metering, 24 LED per channel filter metering and both XLR/TRS inputs/outputs, the AFS224 provides all the processing and control necessary for both installed and portable systems.

The AFS224 Advanced Feedback Suppression processor was designed to provide state-of-the art feedback elimination processing, while maintaining a simple and intuitive control interface. The AFS 224 is an absolute must for any live sound application.

Four channels of classic dbx compression driven by the all new dbx V2™ VCA featuring True RMS Power Summing™ stereo operation for use as two independent stereo compressor limiters. All channels feature Hard-Knee or Overeasy® compression, selectable input and output level metering, PeakStopPlus™ limiting, hardwire bypass, and selectable +4dBu or -10dBv operation. Standard 1U rack design.

In addition, all four channels have the following controls: Threshold - allows you to set the level at which the compressor starts affecting the gain OverEasy - allows you to select between soft compression for overall gain control or Hard Knee compression. Ratio - allows you to set the slope of gain reduction affecting the signal over the threshold level. Input/Output Meter - allows you to set the meter to check the input and output levels for maximum signal-to-noise ratio and best level matching. Output Gain - allows you to add make-up gain or to adjust the output level for that channel to match the next device's input gain. Bypass - hard wire bypass allows you to hear how the compressor is affecting your signal. PeakStopPlus - allows you to set the maximum signal level you want to pass through this channel. Stereo Link - allows you to link channels 1&2 and 3&4 for two channels of true stereo compression. All four channels feature balanced gold plated XLR and 1/4" inputs and outputs, and switchable +4dBu or -10dBV operating level to interface each individual channel with any other device

  • Four independent channels of operation, stereo linkable in two pairs
  • PeakStopPlus™ limiting control for setting maximum allowable level regardless of compressor settings
  • Independent Threshold and Release controls
  • Switchable OverEasy® or Hard Knee compression
  • Classic dbx® compression
  • Differentially balanced gold-plated XLR and 1/4" inputs and outputs.
